Subject: Which Mar 27th show?
Takes me a long time to download these. Anyone know which Mar 27th show has better sound quality? there are two on this site and i don't know which to download.

Subject: Funny introduction
hehe... i laughed kinda hard, when i heard the introduction by GYBE...

well, the bouncers seemed to tell people in the middle not to sit down. one of the GYBE-people tells the people that it is forbidden to sit down (something concerning the patriot act, or whatever) and that people on the left and right can sit down, but people in the middle aren't allowed to... and, well - if i tell you, what's so funny, you won't laugh anymore when you hear it.

concert, BTW, is great, and so is the quality. a little quiet, though, but that has already been mentioned. great show, great band, i'd love to see them live (why don't the visit germany again??)

Subject: A little tweaking..
This is an amazing show.. and in fact the sound quality is really good, but the tracks require a little tweaking to really bring it out.

I found that the bass end was just up too much. To fix this, I put the decoded flacs through a high pass filter (I set the filter to around 120Hz with a fairly soft fall off towards the bass end). Then after normalising the tracks, everything sounds amazing and rich..

Ps- I filtered and normalised the tracks under linux, using the utilities 'sox' and 'normalize'. Made things real easy!

Subject: A good show
Very good show. I'm don't know all the technical lingo, but the volume of everything is really low so you have to really turn it up to get a decent volume. However the quality is quite good.

And the performance is great!

Subject: FYI
Some notes on the songs are below. Excellent show, I love the new song (Albanian). This show is a little more upbeat than some of the other GYBE shows I've heard (and the one I saw).

Albanian (unreleased)
new song - winter 2003

gathering storm
(on lift your skinny fists- track 1 [0:00 - 17:25])
a.k.a. lift your skinny fists like antennas to heaven

tazer floyd
(on yanqui u.x.o. - track 3)
a.k.a. rockets fall on rocket falls

12-28-99
(on yanqui u.x.o. - track 1)
a.k.a. 09-15-00
note : some live versions include an outro, track 2 on yanqui u.x.o.

dead metheny
(on f#a#oo - track 3 [02:44 - 10:51] )
note : the band wrote a new outro for the song in 2002.

world police
(on lift your skinny fists - track 1 [07:22 - 17:10])
a.k.a. world police and friendly fires

sad mafioso
(on f#a#oo - track 2 [01:35 - 12:19])
